Chinese Bridge is an international competition in which non-heritage students of PreK-12 and university students can demonstrate their knowledge of the Chinese language and culture and have much fun. Taking part in Chinese Bridge is a great way to develop your language and presentation skills and helps you to take your Chinese to the next level.

We are pleased to announce that “The 2023 ‘Chinese Bridge’ Chinese Proficiency & Talent Competition Oregon Preliminary” organized by Oregon China Council (OCC) in collaboration with Portland International Academy (PIA), is now open for application. We welcome non-Chinese heritage students of PreK-12 and college students to participate in this exciting event. All participants must be enrolled in a Chinese language program in an Oregon state-registered and accredited school. The deadline for submitting a pre-recorded video presentation is March 22, 2023. 

This competition allows Chinese-learning students in Oregon to compete by demonstrating their Chinese language and culture skills through speeches and diverse talents. It is a great opportunity to hone the Chinese skills of Oregon Chinese learners at PreK-12 schools and colleges/universities and/or potentially perform at regional and international competitions in late summer and fall, respectively. The Final Competition (In-Person) for "The 2023 ‘Chinese Bridge’ Chinese Proficiency and Talent Competition Oregon Preliminary” for PreK-12 and college students will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 9:30 AM-2:00 PM.
