Pursuant to ORS 285A. 148, the Oregon China Sister State Committee reflects Oregon’s longstanding commitment to fostering constructive, people-centered engagement with China at the subnational level. The Committee formalizes the state’s cooperation with its official sister provinces—Fujian and Tianjin—and provides a platform for sustained dialogue and practical collaboration across trade, education, sustainability, culture, and more. As the supporting organization, the Oregon China Council is dedicated to advancing Oregon’s interests by facilitating transparent, forward-looking partnerships that generate real benefits for Oregon communities and businesses, while strengthening mutual understanding between the people of Oregon and China.
