Registration for the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition Oregon Preliminary Round is now open!


“汉语桥”是一项国际中文比赛,旨在为学前班至十二年级及大学阶段、母语非中文的学生提供展示中文能力的平台(请注意,国际汉语桥比赛不包括学前班学生)。比赛旨在促进语言交流、激发学习兴趣、加深对中文及中华文化的理解,同时让参赛者享受竞技的乐趣。参与“汉语桥”不仅能够提升语言表达能力,也是促进汉语水平飞跃的绝佳机会。

The "Chinese Bridge" is an international Chinese competition designed to provide a platform for non-native Chinese-speaking students from Pre-K to 12th grade and university levels to showcase their Chinese language skills (please note that the international "Chinese Bridge" competition does not include Pre-K students). The competition aims to promote language exchange, inspire interest in learning, and deepen participants' understanding of Chinese language and culture while allowing them to enjoy the competitive experience. Participating in "Chinese Bridge" not only enhances language proficiency but also serves as an excellent opportunity for significant progress in Chinese.


我们欣然宣布,由 俄勒冈州中国理事会(OCC) 与 波特兰国际学院(PIA) 联合主办的 2026 年“汉语桥”中文比赛俄勒冈州预选赛 现已开放报名!本次比赛欢迎母语非中文、非华裔的学前班至十二年级及大学生报名,参赛者须为俄勒冈州正规学校的在读中文课程学生。比赛为学习中文的学生提供竞技舞台,让他们通过演讲及才艺展示展现语言能力与文化素养。对学前班至大学阶段的俄勒冈州学生而言,这是一个宝贵的机会,有助于提升中文水平。小学组、初高中组及大学组的第一名优胜者将分别代表俄勒冈州晋级夏季在旧金山举行的地区赛,地区赛冠军将获推荐参加秋季在中国举行的国际总决赛。欢迎大家踊跃报名,展现中文风采!

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition Oregon Preliminary Round, co-hosted by the Oregon China Council (OCC) and Portland International Academy (PIA)! This competition welcomes non-native Chinese-speaking, non-heritage students from Pre-K to 12th grade and university levels who are currently enrolled in Chinese language courses at accredited schools in Oregon. It provides a dynamic platform for students to showcase their Chinese language skills and cultural talents through speeches and performances. For students from Pre-K to university levels in Oregon, this is a valuable opportunity to enhance their Chinese proficiency. The first-place winners from the elementary, middle/high school, and university categories will represent Oregon in the regional competition held in San Francisco this summer. The regional champions will be recommended to compete in the international finals held in China this fall. We warmly welcome everyone to sign up and showcase their Chinese language skills!
